You’d think that having a resemblance to a celebrity might be kind of amusing and fun—or at least make Halloween costumes really easy to throw together. Well, there are some unfortunate downsides according to this recent viral TikTok from a Taylor Swift lookalike. Ashley is a nurse who bears an uncanny resemblance to ultra-famous musician Swift. On top of that, they both live in Nashville and enjoy Grey’s Anatomy.
In her TikTok video, which has now been watched over a million times, Ashley reveals the downsides to being a Swift lookalike. When she dresses cutely to go shopping or on a date with her husband, she’s immediately hounded with lots of, “OMG Taylor!” and “Can I get a photo?” comments.
The comments on her TikTok are similarly impressed, “You look more like Taylor than Taylor looks like Taylor.” From the swept-over blonde hair to their similar facial features and body type, we can see how an excited Swift fan could get caught up in the moment and mistake Ashley for Swift—unluckily for Ashley.
“I wear scrubs all day and just want to look nice for a change,” she writes. By the end of the clip, she trades her dresses for some baggy sweats, writing, “No more looking cute in public.”
Poor Ashley, here’s hoping her resemblance maybe snags her a fun meetup with Swift in the future.
