Max Ehrich and Demi Lovato recently revealed their engagement in possibly the sappiest (and sweetest 🥰) engagement announcement Instagram has ever seen. It was gushy, it was cute, we’re v happy for them. However, some fans have pointed out some awkward and now-deleted tweets where Ehrich wrote that he was “going to marry” Selena Gomez.
“I’m going to marry @SelenaGomez,” one of the alleged posts (which was shared in back in 2018) read. Now, while this is well before Lovato and Ehrich began dating, it is a lil awkward given Gomez and Lovato’s noted feud. Ehrich was apparently going hard on manifesting Gomez into his life too, posting, “Dear @SelenaGomez,” alongside a clip of him singing a love song. 😬
Look, old tweets are old tweets. And based on how utterly in love they look online we reckon Ehrich and Lovato are just fine.
ICYMI, Lovato and Ehrich shared the news they were engaged on the 22nd of July.
“I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too… I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all,” Lovato wrote on Instagram.
“You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!”
Ehrich has also shared a new post of him taking a knee, sharing that “Crash Into Me” by Dave Matthews Band was playing on the beach. “❤️ still floating ☁️ love you more each and every second @ddlovato ♾” he wrote. Stop it, you two.
