In case you missed it, Selena Gomez released a new single yesterday, “Lose You To Love Me” that PULLED on the #Jelena heartstrings.
AS SOON as the song was released, Hailey Bieber – wife of Justin Bieber – uploaded an Instagram story that fans were certain was a huge dig at Selena.
More of a threat actually.
The new Mrs. Biebs uploaded that she was listening to the song “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker.
Yikes.
“Lose You to Love Me,” is 5000% about Justin Bieber, with lyrics that discuss being treated badly in a relationship. It also mentions how he moved on only months after they broke up.
As we know from Justin and Selena’s timeline, the pair gave their relationship another red hot crack in January 2018.
In May 2018, they had split up.
E! has reported at the time that Selena had “completely moved on” from Bieber and is “not interested in getting back together with him anytime soon. She respects him as a person but has decided she is much happier doing her own thing. Selena rarely even talks about Justin anymore, and is fully open to dating.”
In June 2018, Justin was spotted with Hailey at a church conference in Miami.
“I saw the signs and I ignored it,” the lyrics read. “I gave my all and they all know it.”
Selena was quick to upload a note to her Instagram after the release of her song (and Hailey’s post).
Many fans thought it was a direct response to Hailey.
However, after the internet lost its mind over the supposed feud, Hailey was quick to deny that she wanted to actually kill Selena.
“Please stop with this nonsense… there is no ‘response’. this is complete BS.”
Well, that’s that fam no murders happening today.
