They’re here. Gigi Hadid has dropped her highly anticipated baby bump photos and in true model fashion, she went down the full-on pro photoshoot route. Can you believe it was all the way back in April that the news first dropped that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid were expecting a baby? It’s been a time.
Hadid and Malik have kept the details of their growing family pretty close to their chests throughout this whole thing. If you’ve been playing along at home fans have speculated about whether the couple accidentally revealed their baby’s gender, whether they secretly got engaged, and even whether Hadid’s birthday party was actually a baby shower.
And through it all, the bump has remained pretty off-screen. Explaining her decision to keep it quiet, Hadid previously said: “Obviously I think a lot of people are confused why I’m not sharing more but, I’m pregnant through a pandemic, my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world.”
Hadid also noted that as well as the pandemic, the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement should also be taking precedence on social media. “That’s a reason that I felt that it’s not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening. And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM [Black Lives Matter] movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”
Now though, she has shared a set of beautiful black and white images featuring her baby bump in it’s full glory.
The stunning pics were taken by fashion photographer duo Luigi Murenu and Iango Henzi, also known as Luigi & Iang. Hadid thanked the team (which also included a fashion director and makeup artist) in her caption, “cherishing this time. appreciate all the love & well wishes ♡ will never forget creating these special images with my friends @luigiandiango @gabriellak_j @erinparsonsmakeup thank you. I love you!”
