Let’s take a cheeky throwback to July, 2019. Dua Lipa has split from her ex-boyfriend, Isaac Carew, a few weeks ago, and new photos fresh from Glastonbury have emerged, leading many to believe the Future Nostalgia singer is in a new romance with Anwar Hadid, Bella and Gigi Hadid’s younger brother.
The unexpected pair were spotted getting cosy at the British music festival on July 6, 2019, seemingly confirming earlier reports they are an item.
Per a report from UK newspaper The Sun, Lipa and Hadid have been on a ‘string’ of dates while the British singer records new music in LA. After being spotted on a date in Malibu (Hadid’s hometown), the couple reportedly appeared ‘cosy’ at a friend’s birthday party.
Before his rumoured romance with Lipa, Hadid dated actress Nicola Peltz for a year and a half, before ending things in June 2018.
The split came around the same time that TMZ photographed Hadid kissing his sisters’ best friend, 25-year-old Kendall Jenner, at a CFDA Awards after-party.
Consequently, Hadid and Jenner were followed by months of ‘are they or aren’t they?’ rumours, but neither one of them has spoken about the length of their fling.
As for Lipa’s split with 34-year-old Isaac Carew (the man who inspired her 2017 hit ‘New Rules’), a source told The Sun: “Dua and Isaac have a lot of history and he holds a special place in her heart. But she’s been in Los Angeles almost ever since they split again and she has been able to spend time with Anwar, who she really gets along with.
“They are a lot closer in age and it’s just been fun. It’s a confusing time for both Dua and Isaac, but she is just going with the flow and doing what feels right.”
