The Girlfriend Priceline Pharmacy Model Search is over (waaa) but that doesn’t mean our catwalk confidence has to quit!
“DON’T EVER LISTEN TO SOMEONE’S NEGATIVE OPINION, AFTER ALL IT’S JUST AN OPINION!”
Haters are gonna hate, but raters are gonna rate, which is why we’re totally taking Kurt’s whole block-out-the-neg advice to heart. For every critic (*cough* rude boy) that appears on his Insta, there’s waaay more Mr Nice Guys and girls double-tapping like cray. Same goes for YRL (your real life) – worrying about who’s going to like THAT dress, THAT hairstyle or THAT joke is only going to a) stress you out and b) STRESS. YOU. OUT. Instead focus on being yourself, and going for all of the above just because YOU heart it. It gives out seriously confident – and happy – vibes.
“EVERY DAY YOU NEED TO TAKE A PHOTO OF YOURSELF AND SAY ‘THAT’S SO PRETTY!’”
One scroll through his socials and you can see that Kurt hearts himself. His selfie count is HUGE and his captions are a nice lil self-esteem boost (like, “I’m amazing!” and “I love myself!”). But along with that exterior ego comes a genuinely healthy habit – being cool with complimenting, endorsing and liking yourself. We’re not suggesting going all 20-selfies-a-day on us, but giving yourself kudos for looking awesome/writing a killer essay/being a good friend is all kinds of OK. Own your awesome, and the confidence will come!
“YOU’RE WASTING YOUR TIME HATING THINGS THAT ARE NEVER GONNA CHANGE!”
One of approximately 456 reasons why Kurt is Confidence King is that he doesn’t get hung up on the things about himself that he’s not heaps into, and instead celebrates the qualities he LOVES. Not keen on your left elbow/big toe/the way you laugh ridiculously loudly at bad TV shows? Focus on your makeup/karaoke/awesome person skills! This conscious shift to vibe your YAYs will make you almost forget about your NAYs.
“DON’T BE JEALOUS OF PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THEIR INSTAGRAM! WAKE UP AND GET OUT THERE.”
How many times have you scrolled through your Insta on a Sunday night, waded through a feed full of cute-couples-doingadorbs-things and hot-girls-with-amazing-hair, and started hating on your own relationship/hair/life? Comparing yourself to others is a MAJOR confidence killer and can seriously crush any posi vibes you’ve been manifesting. Still hit up your socials, but always keep in mind that a) you’re only seeing a tiny (filtered) snippet of someone’s life and b) you’re awesome too.
