The internet went wild when it was announced that Liam Payne and Cheryl’s baby was called Bear, but mainly it just had everyone wondering how the heck they got there.
Well, aside from everyone thinking he must be a cuddly little teddy bear, Liam has finally explained the reasoning behind the name while on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“When he was born I think one of the midwives said it,” he started. “And he had this thing where if they don’t have a good cry they get fluid in their lungs and it can be quite serious,” Liam said. He went on to explain that he was worried about his son and had specialists running in and out because he thought Bear was making a strange noise in his sleep. Like growling noises.
“I had like 10 doctors in the room and in the end one said, ‘Dude, I’m not being funny, there’s nothing wrong with him, he just likes to make a lot of noise.’ And that’s carried on ever since, so he just became Bear,” Liam said.
Crying.
He also admitted that a person lives out their name, and Bear is “humungous”.
WE NEED MORE EVIDENCE OF THIS. Feet and a hand just won’t cut it anymore Liam.
