Only a couple days after farewelling Luke Perry’s loveable character on Riverdale, KJ Apa has finally opened up about losing his on-screen dad.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, KJ explained how kind Luke was.
“He did everything he could to make everyone, no matter how big or small you were, feel comfortable and welcome.” KJ even explained how close Luke was to his real family. “He would call my parents every week and give them an update on how I was going. He and my dad were close.”
Saying he wishes he could be like Luke, Jimmy reminded him that he can.
“You can be like that. You are like that.”
CRYING.
Luke Perry passed away on March 4, 2019, after suffering from a stroke.
