Horror footage has emerged of the shocking moment a theme park ride in India snapped in two, sending riders onboard flying and sadly leaving two people dead on July 15.

The terrifying video shared on social media shows the Discovery ride carrying 31 people at Kankaria Adventure Park in Ahmedabad split in half and plummet to the ground.
Fire department officials confirmed that two people in their twenties had died, and 15 were seriously injured after inspecting the scene.
According to park officials, the ride was only four years old and had been regularly maintained.
“All our equipment as well as maintenance certificates, police certification, fire NOC and other documents are in order. We have had continuous inspection and clearance from the authorities for the past four years and we have submitted the same to the police” said park Director Ghanshyam Patel in an official statement.
The incident is currently under investigation.
