When we woke up today, the last person we thought would stand up for the LGBTQ community was the freaking Pope, but boy were we mistaken.
For as long as we can remember, before the beginning of time, the Catholic Church has been wildly against homosexuality.
But after Pope Francis (who is our new idol) met sexual abuse victim Juan Carlos Cruz, he’s made some changes in the opinion of the church that is making Twitter light up with joy.
Rainbow coloured joy.
According to Juan, the Pope told him that God made him gay and loves him like that. He needn’t worry about what anyone else says. “You know Juan Carlos, that does not matter,” he said, according to what Juan told CNN.
“God made you like this. God loves you like this. The Pope loves you like this and you should love yourself and not worry about what people say.”
The pope be WOKE.
Of course, there will be people who are highly offended and appalled that the Pope would say something like this, but we’re not even going to shed light on them and their nasty comments. This post is for love and love only.
Hopefully this is a step in the right direction, and something that the LGBTQ community can celebrate today.
