Running into someone who dated your current partner is awkward. Running into someone who dated your now-husband on live TV is even more awkward.
That was the case for Joe Jonas‘ wife Sophie Turner and Taylor Swift, who both appeared on Friday’s the Graham Norton Show. The two even rocked matching bangs, thanks to Sophie’s recent haircut.
Sophie appeared on the show alongside her X-Men: Dark Phoenix co-stars, while Taylor was promoting her new album.
Taking to Instagram following the appearance, Tay Tay wrote to Instagram: “Feeling pretty lucky that I got to be a guest on the same night as @sophiet, Michael Fassbender, @Jessicachastain and @Jamesmcavoyrealdeal – They were all so sweet, now I want to just walk around yelling GO SEE DARK PHOENIX.“
Earlier this month, Taylor appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show where she admitted to regretting slamming Joe for breaking up with her over the phone back in 2008. The couple had dated for several months when they were just teens, and Joe broke things off in a “25-second phone call”.
Taylor has well and truly moved on from her teenage romance, and has been dating actor Joe Alwyn since 2017. Turner wed Jonas in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony last month.
