For weeks, we’ve been wondering what actually happened to Jughead Jones on Riverdale, after he apparently died. Thankfully, during Wednesday night’s episode of the hit CW series, it was revealed that Cole Sprouse’s character is alive and well.
We never could have imagined the show without him.
Viewers saw that Jughead was alive the entire time, he was just hiding in the woods while everybody was in on the cover-up of his death, which we know will be further explained throughout the end of the season.
While it’s no doubt that Jughead was attacked by fellow Stonewall Prep students, his beanie came to the rescue, cushioning the blow from the rock that they used.

The beginning of the episode saw Jughead’s papa, F.P. Jones (Skeet Ulrich), confirm that police found Jughead’s body. His cause of death was a “blunt force trauma to the head.”
It leads F.P to Betty (Lili Reinhart), who was accused of holding a rock in the woods above Jughead’s dead body, along with Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes).
As F.P heads to Riverdale High to arrest the three of them, he discovers the ‘bloody rock’ was covered in fake blood.
Later, we even get a kiss between Betty and Archie when she confides the truth to him, which enrages Veronica… but it was all part of the plan!
You’re just going to have to watch the episode to find out how it all went down, because trust us, it’s a goodie!!!
