Saturday Night Live’s brand new season has just kicked off, and resident comedian Pete Davidson made many jokes about his engagement to Ariana Grande.
However, one in particular has made fans really mad.
Appearing on this week’s “Weekend Update” skit, Pete made a joke about switching Ariana’s birth control pills with Tic Tacs.
“Last night I switched her birth control with Tic Tacs,” he said. “I believe in us and all, but I just want to make sure that she can’t go anywhere.”

While fans are used to Pete making jokes about his fiance, they think he took it way too far with this one, some claiming his joke is a form of abuse.
Apparently Pete Davidson thinks it’s ok to make jokes about switching Ariana’s birth control with tic-tacs?? Really? At this stage in the game this dude can no longer call these jokes.

Generally I thought Pete Davidson was funny, but until birth control sabotage stops being a common form of abuse and a way abusers trap women in dangergous relationships, I'm not going to laugh at that joke #SNLPremiere

Pete has not responded to any of the backlash.
