Pete Davidson may be 11/10 obsessed with his fiancée Ariana Grande right now, so we assume he’s been feeling pretty nervous about this getting out.
Only five short months after Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester was attacked, killing 22 people, Pete was making jokes about it during a comedy show.
During a stand-up routine at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, Pete even made fun of Ariana during the show.
The Mirror claims that Pete joked about how Ariana must realise how famous she had now become, because “Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.”
Sources claim that the joke didn’t draw many laughs from the audience. “It drew gasps from the crowd and everyone squirmed in their seats, the event five months earlier was still pretty fresh, and there were plenty of British tourists in the crowd,” a witness told the website.
Charlotte Hodgson, a mother who lost her 15-year-old daughter Olivia Campbell-Hardy at the concert, slammed the joke. “For anyone to joke about this situation is disgusting and I think he should publicly apologise for it,” she told The Mirror.
“The families will find it equally as disgusting. We don’t need jokes about it, there have been plenty around, and it’s heartbreaking to hear every day.”
Ariana has recently revealed that she is still badly affected by the bombing, admitting that she suffers from PTSD after the event.
“It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing,” she told British Vogue about the condition. “I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it, as well. Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience — like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”
Hopefully Pete and Ariana can sort out this drama before the shot gun wedding!
