In just seven years since former Dance Moms star Maddy Ziegler has become Sia’s muse, a model, an actress and a vlogger. On top of that, the 15-year-old has just released her own fragrance. Talk about goals. Read on to find out what we learnt when we chatted with your favourite dancing queen.
What was the inspiration behind your Impulse body spray?
My inspiration was girl empowerment. I also really just wanted it to be fresh and fun. I’m all about girl power, having fun and being silly.
It must’ve been so fun to choose the scent for your body spray!
Yeah, my two favourite things are sweet and floral, so to bring those together in a scent was really cool. Honestly like before I was introduced to making a scent I didn’t realise what goes into it. There are so many different things in this one and it still smells good! If you mix different things they’ll clash but if you mix it right, then you get a scent that smells amazing. And what I like about it is that it’s not too overpowering.
What was your favourite part about the creative process?
I love drawing and painting, so I think what I loved most was actually getting to design the bottle. And the little butterflies that are on the body spray were my ideas so seeing them come to life was really cool.
Which singers are you into right now?
Sia, of course. But other than that, Harry Styles is my number one… like of all time
Yes. I agree 100%. What’s your favourite song?
I like Sweet Creature. But his whole album is insane, it’s so good. I went to his concert in LA and I literally freaked out. I had such a good time. It was my favourite concert I’ve ever been to.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is pretty simple. I’m all about comfort. I really like layered things like a cute top with a jacket and then trainers.
Who do you think has amazing style?
Zendaya. She’s literally goals for every girl just because she has incredible style, but she always wears it with confidence. She takes risks and always looks amazing, and it has a lot to do with her attitude, you know?
