Unlike Taylor Swift, Lucy Hale is more than happy to reveal the inspo behind her songs and she’s just spilled some major tea on her 2014 banger “Lie a Little Better”.
Speaking with ET, the IRL Aria Montgomery explained that the song was about her co-star and closeted crush Drew Van Acker who played Jason DiLaurentis.
“For years, people had asked me what that song was about or who it was about and I was like, ‘I should just tell them,’ and then I was like, ‘No, I should just tease people for a little bit,’” she shared.
“Then, finally the other week, it came on my shuffle, and I was like, ‘Yeah, this song is about Drew.’”
She went on to reveal that Drew didn’t know she had a crush on him back then but he “sure does now, but he’s, like, happily with someone. It’s all done with, but now the world knows. Drew Van Acker. He’s a cutie.”
What a shame! These two would’ve been total couple goals
