In a very exciting new interview, Lindsay Lohan has revealed to David Spade on Light’s Out that she thinks it would be “exciting” to bring Mean Girls back!
WATCH: Lindsay Lohan Really Wants ‘Mean Girls’ Sequel
But this time, instead of that random sequel that nobody watched, it would be with her, Rachel McAdams, Tina Fey, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried. THE OG mean girls.
“I think that I was hanging onto that for a really long idea,” she said. “I kind of wanted to come back with like a ‘Mean Girls 2’, with the same cast and work with Tina and the whole crew again and [director] Mark Waters.”
“And that was really what I wanted, I was really excited to do that,” she continued. “And that’s all in their hands, really.”
While there are currently no real plans to revisit the movie and make a new sequel, the 33-year-old admitted that a sequel “would definitely be an exciting thing.”
Oh, we agree!
The new Broadway musical version of Mean Girls was recently announced to get a big-screen adaptation, however, that doesn’t include any of the original cast… and who really wants that??
In January 2019, Lindsay once again pushed for a Mean Girls sequel to happen… but nobody really listened.
COME ON TINA FEY… JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN!
