Ok guys, time for some bad news.
Just days after their Riverdale co-star Skreet Ulrich (FP Jones) hinted that Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse were no more, a report has confirmed that the pair have broken up.
Page Six is writing that the “Bughead” couple have “ended their nearly three-year relationship“.
The report says that Reinhart, 23, and Sprouse, 27, had “recently split and have since been quarantining separately during the coronavirus pandemic.”
A close source told Page Six, “Cole and Lili split before the pandemic hit, and have been quarantining separately. They remain good friends.”
Skeet Ulrich, who plays Jughead’s dad on the show, hinted at the breakup last week. When he and girlfriend Megan Blake Irwin went on IG Live, someone asked: “Do you think that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are a cute couple?”
Ulrich’s response? “I think they were a very cute couple.”
Hear that? Were.
We’re guessing this means that the couple may have been split up for some time now. The last time Reinhart posted anything about Sprouse on her Instagram was in late November, when she put up this shot of them with friends.
In the past couple of months, the pair have spoken about each other—Sprouse shot down cheating rumours and Reinhart smacked down fans who were trying to “cancel” Sprouse—but, we guess, you can do that with a friendly ex, too.
