Pregnant reality star Khloe Kardashian is currently in mourning after her friend and former NBA star Rasual Butler was killed in a car accident, Radar Online confirms.
Police told NBC that Butler was driving at three times the speed limit around 2:30 am on Wednesday in Los Angeles when he crashed into a curb.
The crash caused his car to tumble over and roll into L.A.’s Studio City Plaza where it remained until officials retrieved his body and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The 38-year-old was accompanied by his wife, former American Idol contestant Leah LaBelle who was sitting in the passenger’s seat of the car at the time of the crash. She also died at the scene.
Butler was a longtime friend of Khloe and once appeared on her reality show with ex-husband Lamar Odom, Khloe & Lamar when he was dating Khlo’s best friend Malika Haqq.
Thoughts are with the star’s fam and friends at this tragic time.
