It Sounds Like ‘The Princess Diaries 3’ Might Actually Be Happening After All

The Princess Diaries fandom LOST IT last year when it was announced that a third movie was in the works. Unfortunately, when director Garry Marshall sadly passed away a few months later, the project was canned.

But turns out there’s still hope for another sequel because Julie Andrews just revealed that she and Anne Hathaway are keen af for The Princess Diaries 3!!!

“There’s talk about it … And [Hathaway]’s very keen to do it. I would very willingly and happily do it,” Julie told Buzzfeed News.

But it gets better… they even want to make the movie a tribute to Garry and apparently Anne has something HUGE up her sleeve since the beloved director sadly can’t be a part of it anymore. 

“I think we might do it in honour of him,” she continued. “Annie had an idea that she wanted to pursue about it, and I’m all for it, so if she’d like to ….”

OMG YAS! So when’s it gonna hit the big screen? At this point, Julie says she’s “not sure what the status is right now.”

But c’mon, if BOTH of the iconic movie’s biggest stars want to make it happen, we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before we find out where Princess Mia and Queen Clarisse ended up.
