After Diplo announced, out of the blue, he has welcomed a son with Miss Universe contestant Jevon King in May, rapper Iggy Azalea announced a son of her own.
Azalea, real name Amethyst Kelly, took to her Instagram overnight to reveal that she is a mother to a baby boy, but that she was “waiting for the right time” to share the news.
“I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world,” she wrote on her Stories.
She added: “I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond words. (sic)”
Rumours that the rapper was expecting actually circulating late last year, when Radar Online reported she was “at least six months pregnant” in December.
Azalea, 30, has been dating fellow rapper Playboi Carti, 23, since late 2018. The two sparked engagement rumours in 2019 when Azalea ~innocently~ posted a shot of her new nails which featured a massive sparkling ring on that finger.
