The ring reportedly cost Justin about $2 million, which, to him, is loose change really.

What’s interesting is Justin’s attention to detail. In 2012, Hailey retweeted a note that read, “If my ring isn’t as big as Blake Lively’s, I don’t want to get married. #singleprob.” Interestingly, the rings are VERY similar.

Apparently Justin had been planning this engagement for a while, no matter how out of the blue it seemed.

“It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not,” a source told PEOPLE. “Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks. He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”
