When Pretty Little Liars ended, we basically felt like we had no purpose after fiiiiinally finding out the identity of Uber A.
So we were pumped when it was announced that another Sara Sheperd book series was being adapted as a PLL spin-off.
The Perfectionists won’t be set in Rosewood, but it will feature two cast faves with Sasha Pieterse playing Alison DiLaurentis again and Janel Parrish reprising the role of Monda Vanderwaal.
There’s no word yet on what brings them to the town of Beacon Heights, but we CANNOT WAIT for all the drama.
Our Descendants fave Sofia Carson will play the lead role of Ava, with the girls regularly sharing snaps from set.
Our fave Gossip Girl mum Lily van der Woodsen (aka Kelly Rutherford) is also back as she plays Claire Hotchkiss – an equally fierce matriarch.
Newcomers Eli Brown, Noah Gray-Cabey, Evan Bittencourt and Sydney Park will also star in the series.
There’s no official word on an air date for Australia yet, but Freeform will be premiering the 10-episode season sometime in 2019.
Freeform released this juicy little nugget about what we can expect…
“Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi.”
But the biggest question on everyone’s lips is whether A is going to make an appearance?
This message from the first day of filming has us hoping so!
Shay Mitchell has also revealed that she’s not ruling anything out, and would be open to appearing in The Perfectionists.
“You know, you never know. Not planned as of now, you never know!” she told ET.
“I can’t wait to see the pilot episode of it! I’m so excited, we’re all gonna get together and watch it together.” Cute!
