Catfish has been keeping us savvy with who and what to look out for in the world of online dating for the past seven years.
The hosts of the show, Nev Shulman and Max Joseph have been there with us along for the ride forming a team we’ve all grown to love.
Nev recently announced that after their long time working together, Max had decided to leave Catfish and work on other projects.
He had a bit of problem when it came to his wording, though!
Since Nev was the first to announce Max’s leaving, Twitter was in a state of initial shock when Nev’s Tweet read, “It is with a very heavy heart, that all of us at the Catfish family say goodbye to @maxjoseph“.

By the way it sounds, it could have come across that he was dead, and fans were NOT okay.
Nev has realised his wording may not have been ideal, so made the effort to apologise and let everyone know that no, Max isn’t dead.
Thank goodness.

We’re glad to know Max is all g, despite that he’s leaving and we won’t see our fave bromance continue.
Now we’ve just gotta wait until MTV announces Nev’s next co-host!
