Drake has long faced criticism for his affiliation with younger girls, starting with Millie Bobby Brown, and now, Billie Eilish.

Last year, Billie and Drake formed a friendship through text messages, where she couldn’t stop talking about how nice he treated her.

“Drake is, like, the nicest dude I’ve ever spoken to. I mean, I’ve only, like, texted him, but he’s so nice. Like, he does not need to be nice, you know what I mean?” she told Vanity Fair in November, while she was 17-years-old. “He’s at a level in his life where he doesn’t need to be nice, but he is, you know?”

Naturally, it didn’t sit well with fans.

“Can we talk about drake texting billie eilish and millie bobby brown… he’s a whole ass grown man and they’re two underage girls… that’s some creepy shit if you ask me,” one fan tweeted.

“Does anyone else think it’s strange that Drake just has Billie Eilish and Millie Bobby Brown’s numbers? It’s definitely possible he’s just being a role model and it has to do with marketing but why’s a 32 year old man texting girls under the age of 17?” said another.

“Billie Eilish just said in her vanity fair video that Drake is the nicest person ever and she has only talked to him through text. I am sorry but after news came out a while ago that 33 year old drake was texting 14 year old Millie Bobby Brown, this is creepy as hell.”

However, Billie isn’t letting fans get ahead of themselves.

Months after the backlash, she has spoken out about it.

“The internet is such a stupid-ass mess right now. Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about,” she told Vogue for their March cover.

“Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the f*** is that shit?”

In 2018, there was a similar situation with Millie Bobby Brown that didn’t sit well with fans.

Millie opened up about her relationship with Drake to Access, while walking the red carpet for the 2018 Emmys.

“I love him. I met him in Australia and he’s honestly so fantastic and a great friend and a great role model. You know, we text – we just texted each other the other day and he was like, ‘I miss you so much.’ And I was like, ‘I miss you more.’ He’s coming to Atlanta, so I’m definitely gonna go and see him.”

Drake was also giving Millie boy advice. She was only 14 at the time.

“He helps me. He’s great. He’s wonderful. I love him,” she said.

But, she wouldn’t reveal what that advice actually was… “you know, that stays in the text messages.”

Fans lost it.

“Millie Bobby Brown is innocent and probably has crush, but Drake has no business texting her “I miss you so much.”

Yikes.
