After two years of dating, Sarah Hyland & Dom Sherwood recently broke up and it shocked everyone.
The most awkward part about the break up was that Sarah had joined Dominic’s show Shadowhunters, but their split was announced before the episode aired on Freeform.
Fans were supportive, regardless of the break up… until one of Sarah’s recent comments was perceived as shady by Shadowhunters fans.
Alisha Wainwright who plays Maia Roberts on the Mortal Instruments television show, posted this picture of herself wearing clear glasses on Instagram, alongside co-star Kat McNamara:
Soon after, Sarah posted (then deleted) this tweet:
“Seeing so many people copying my clear glasses frames. I’ll put trendsetter down on my resumé from now on.”
Yikes.
She then posted a video of her wearing those glasses on her Instagram story:
Fans took it as a dig to Alisha, who once played Dom’s love interest on Shadowhunters:
Sarah was quickly took to Twitter to try clear things up.
“Whoahhhh hahahaha y’all crazy!!!!” She began.
“Sarcasm and bad timing make you all stoop to some low places huh? Psh bye.”
Dom eventually came to her defence:
Sarah ended up commenting on his post with three smiley emojis.
