The same week that Demi Lovato left rehab, she was showing off a new boyfriend – fashion designer Henry Levy.
And as happy as it made fans to see that she was also happy, they were concerned that she was moving too fast.
However, Demi didn’t ever intend to fall for her new bae. It just happened.
“Demi and Henri didn’t intend to become romantically involved,” a source close to Demi told HollywoodLife.
“When they first started hanging out, Demi thought it would be just as friends. There is such a strong bond between them, though, that there was just no way they could keep things platonic.”
Henry has struggled with his own addiction issues, which is what brought him and Demi together in the first place and enabled them to get closer.
While they have been spotted out on multiple occasions showing off major PDA, it was only recently that they shared a video of them kissing on Instagram.
“Demi didn’t plan for things to work out this way — she wasn’t actively looking for a boyfriend,” the source added.
“But sometimes things just happen, and it’s too special between her and Henri to ignore. Both of them vowed to take it slow with the relationship, but things are already moving very quickly.”
