It’s pretty cool to see musicians transitions into actors, especially when Harry Styles did it.
However, it looks like it’s Camila Cabello who might be the next one to take the step!
Camila has been rumoured to star in the remake of the iconic movie-musical, West Side Story.
Film director Steven Spielberg put out a casting call for the project, and people have assumed that Camila will be up for the role.
The flyer specifies that white actors will be considered for Tony’s role and that Latina actors for the roles of Maria, (who fans think Camila will land), Anita and Bernardo… which is true to the original story.
It was actually Taylor Swift‘s go-to music video director Joseph Kahn who put the Camila word out there.
“Camilla Cabello as Maria in Spielberg’s WESTSIDE STORY. Bet on it.”
The original film from 1961 won 10 Oscars, including Best Picture.
