ICYMI: Ashleigh has left the series to star in the latest Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene and she’ll still be portraying her beloved character, Josie.

The new show will follow Katy (played by Lucy Hale) and her friends who are struggling to make it in New York City.

In order to end up in NYC, Ashleigh’s character had to be written out of Riverdale and this was done through a visit from Josie’s dad. During this visit, Josie decided that she wanted to join him on tour and after a bit of convincing, he agreed.
