Nothing has pulled at the heart-strings more than Netflix’s new show 13 Reasons Why.
With a powerful message of mental illness and teen suicide, co-producer herself Selena Gomez and a couple of the cast members, Alisha Boe (Jessica Davis) and Tommy Dorfman (Ryan Shaver) each got a semicolon tattoo on their wrist.
The semicolon tattoo has long been in support for mental illness and suicide survival, two things the show has brought to light over thirteen touching episodes.
Selena only just admitted herself that she felt a personal connection to what Hannah Baker went through at school, to how she felt during her Disney channel years.
“I see myself in Hannah so much… The older I get the more insecure I get, which is odd. But that’s something a lot of people can relate to,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Could this cast get any more adorable?!
We also only just found out that Brandon Flynn (Justin Foley) and Miles Heizer (Alex Standall) are dating IRL, and MY GOD we’re obsessed.
It’s amazing to see the cast come together to bring such a serious issue to light, and make it okay to talk about it.
