You may die when you see what this student accidentally wrote on her paper

It's gone viral, and it's SO cringe.

Is there anything worse than pressing ‘send’ on a paper due to class, and then realising you have made a grave, graaave error?

No, there’s not. Especially when that grave error is leaving the nickname of your teacher/professor on the paper.

Unfortunately for student Zoey Oxley, freshman at Ohio University, this NIGHTMARE happened to her.

Zoey was working on a paper when she couldn’t remember the teacher’s name. Instead, she put a ‘temporary’ nickname.

“I have always been really bad with names,” Oxley told BuzzFeed News. “So, when I was writing the paper, I blanked on the professor’s name and filled it in with ‘Professor whats his nuts,’ just as a placeholder.”

She joked with her friend about how bad it would be if she sent the paper with that name on it, which is exactly what she ended up doing.

As you can see, Zoey left ‘Professor whats his nutz’ as the name on her paper.

She admits that she realised her mistake as soon as she did it.

“As soon as I closed my laptop, it hit me,” she said. “And I immediately started freaking out and trying to resubmit.”

Quickly, Zoey sent her professor an email to apologise.

She explained how it was “something completely unprofessional” and just kept apologising.

“I hope that this does not reflect what you think of me and that the next assignment I can address by the correct name,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, “professor whats his nutz” aka John Hendel, who isn’t a professor but a first-year MFA student – opened the apology email. He didn’t mind, because he had just thought she had made a typo.

“I thought they had just misspelled my name, so I appreciated the apology but didn’t put much thought into it,” he told BuzzFeed News.

The next day he saw the mistake.

“I see ‘Professor whats his nuts’ at the top and immediately recognised the student’s name,” he said.

“I found it hilarious,” he said. “I went back to their email and basically said, ‘Oh, THAT’S what you meant!'”

He has now changed his Twitter name to Professor whats his nuts after the story went viral…

People were obviously loving the story, but were also very sympathetic to Zoey.
