Let’s be real, periods just suck. No matter what your symptoms are, or damn even if you’re a symptom-free girlie, bleeding for multiple days every. single. month. is exhausting. Like literally. But what’s even more tiresome is the stigmatised aura surrounding periods.

Well, we’re over that. In fact, we’re chatting about our periods openly, honestly and without shame. It’s literally the most mundane thing that’s going to happen to us. So, why not be open about it?

But we totally get that it can be hard to break the repressive cycle of a ‘taboo topic’, but thankfully U By Kotex and Flex Mami have teamed up to create the perfect period accessory; Period Cards.

ReFlex Period Talk Conversation Cards

Okay, hands up if you’ve ever hidden a tampon or pad up your sleeve as you’ve headed over to the bathroom? Yep, as we expected, it’s a lot of hands. But why? It’s such a normal part of life, and having to scurry around trying not to be ‘caught’ with a tampon is so not it.

So, we, along with U By Kotex and Flex Mami are on a mission to bring period convos into the group chat. And we’re starting with these incredible cards (which we’re waiting to be restocked here). Because when U By Kotex surveyed 1000 Aussie Gen Z’s the results spoke for themselves. 69 per cent “wish(ed) they could speak more openly about their period”. Well hello girlies we gotcha; it’s time to crack open the deck and start the thought-provoking conversations. And of course, keep on being a girl’s girl by carrying that spare tampon with you (because you just never know).
