PSA: You Can Now Post And View Instagram Stories Without The Smartphone App

Here's how!

Let’s be real, our worlds low-key changed the day Instagram stories were invented last year. We are now able to live-stream every coffee we drink, every concert we jam at and every squad hang to all of our followers, without messing up the ~aesthetic~ of our Insta.

But there are times when your app is having a total meltdown and we’re just itching to share our Instaworthy meal or your phone is dead and you’re just DYING to stalk your crush’s story.

Good news, IGer: your fave app has developed a fancy solution to these problems!

According to The Verge, the social media company has rolled out a new feature that enables users to access Insta stories from computers and mobile browsers.

The function is still kinda limited though. You can now watch stories on your desktop but you can’t upload them.

You can, however, upload stories via the browser on your phone but it can only be a photo with text, features like stickers, videos, and face filters aren’t available just yet.

But still, any win is worth celebrating!

It is currently unknown if Instagram plans on extending this feature to allow users to upload stories on a desktop but we have a feeling that more epic updates are to come.

In the meantime, go forth and try out the exciting new double-tappable functions!
