Adidas is probably feeling hella embarrassed right now. Why? Because they have been forced to recall a line of swimmers, which have one major problem: you can’t get them wet.
LOL.
According to The Daily Examiner, the company recalled a kids’ line of swimwear in the Infinitex 3-Stripe range and have recommended that teens up to the age of 14 should stop using these recalled products immediately.
The company realised there was an issue when customers were reporting that the three stripes on the side of the swimmers could come off when in contact with water, which was deemed a safety risk.
“As a precautionary measure, we are recalling all swimwear products of the affected product range worn by children up to and including the age of 14 years. The safety of our consumers is our highest priority. We continue to be committed to quality and apologise for any inconvenience this safety notice may cause to consumers”, Adidas’ Vice President of Product Operations, Harald Habermann, said.
If you or someone you know have these swimmers, you can return the products to any Adidas store or to any authorised Adidas dealers for a full refund. No receipt is necessary for the refund.
This particular swimwear range has been sold as part of the company’s 2017 and 2018 collection and comes in several different colours.
One of the serial numbers below will be printed inside the affected products:
