1. Wash their fave every night
“It’s so important to make sure you take off your makeup every night,” says Amanda. Even if you don’t wear makeup, this step is super important, coz through the day your skin ends up with dirt, sweat and other stuff all over it. Cleaning that off each night is a must to prevent breakouts and keep pores clear of clogged dirt.
2. They sun protect
“You’ve gotta use sunscreen!” says Amanda. That’s like, every day, even in winter! Sun damage cannot only cause skin cancer later in life, it can create pigmentation and lead to premature ageing – even in your late teens! Use before you add any makeup each day and go for at least SPF 30+.
3. They drink loads of water
“I drink lots and lots of water for my skin,” says Amanda. Staying hydrated means so does your skin – keeping dryness and over-production of skin oils at bay. Drinking water also helps flush your system of toxins, which sometimes can cause breakouts. Go for around eight glasses a day to get your body sorted.
4. They fake it
Even girls with amazing skin sometimes have blah days where it looks dull! “Use a highlighter concealer under your eyes to fake ‘awakeness’,” says Amanda. Still feel like you look ugh? Mix a little illuminator with your foundation or BB cream to give your skin a light glow.
5. They have a skincare routine
Having a legit routine is a surefire way to have clear, bright, amazing skin. “I use Neutrogena makeup wipes to cleanse first, then Dermalogica Clear Start Foaming Wash. So I cleanse twice. I finish with First Aid Beauty moisturiser,” says Amanda. Basically, having at least one cleansing step and one moisturising step every morning and night is the way to go!
