Last week we were dealt the devastating blow that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are taking a break from each other for a while.
The deets were pretty hazy at first but we now know who’s to blame: Selena’s mother, Mandy Teefey.
“Selena and Justin decided to take a break mainly because of Selena’s mom and her disapproval of Justin,” an insider told Us Weekly.
“Justin’s family loves Selena, but Selena’s family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don’t trust Justin. Selena has tried to convince her family that Justin has changed … but her family just isn’t budging right now.”
It’s no secret that Teefey has had major beef with the Biebs ever since reuniting with her daughter.
The 13 Reasons Why executive producer was reportedly hospitalised in December after a row with Sel over her relationship with Justin.
She also refused to let the “Sorry” singer attend their family holiday festivities and still refuses to acknowledge him.
