This Insane ‘Riverdale’ Fan Theory Changes Everything You Thought You Knew

We didn't see this coming.
Netflix
We love a good fan theory here at GFHQ, especially when it’s to do with our FAVE new show, Riverdale! We might only be five episodes in, but fans have already predicted where the show is headed. And even though it’s farfetched, it could actually be legit!

Basically, Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is also the creator of Afterlife with Archie, a comic about Archie and his squad trying to survive a zombie apocalypse.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

1. How Jason died
How do you kill the undead? Destroy their brain, of course! So considering Jason died from a gunshot wound to the head, it *could* mean he is/was a zombie. Another clue is Cheryl saying Jason was “supposed to come back” – did she mean come back to life?

2. Cheryl’s zombie nightmare
Cheryl actually imagined Jason as a zombie! In episode five she has a creepy nightmare of her twin brother coming at her with blood-stained hands and that undead star.
3. Dilton’s extreme survivalist mindset
Why was Dilton teaching the Boy Scouts how to shoot a gun?! He later tells Jughead they need “hardcore survivalist” skills because of “the way this town is going.” Is he preparing them for a zombie take-over??

4. Sabrina Spellman
Everyone’s fave teenage witch is reportedly making an appearance in the season finale, although this Sabrina is based on the original, darker comics character. She accidentally triggered the zombie apocalypse in Afterlife so maybe something similar will happen when she appears in Riverdale.

Ok so it all seems pretty out-there but these clues definitely seem to add up. What do you guys think??
