Shawn Mendes has made a major confession.
The Canadian pop heartthrob took to social media to share a heartbreaking message about being bullied during his childhood.

Mendes penned the emotional post to let his 45.3 million followers to keep pursuing their dreams no matter what.
The “Senorita” singer posted a few tour photos that are absolutely stunning to go along with the wise words.
“I’m thinking about being in 9th grade right now. The day after I posted one of my first covers onto YouTube back in 2014.. at school walking down the hall straight into a group of older guys yelling out “sing for me Shawn sing for me!” In a way that made me feel absolutely horrible… made me feel like a joke, like what I was doing was just stupid & wrong” Shawn began his post.

The Grammy award winner ended his letter to fans on an inspirational note.
“I’m writing this not only to the 15-year-old kid who’s scared to follow their heart because of what people might say but also to the 50-year-old who may be doing the exact same thing.
I know it’s not just that easy & I’m not asking you to change your world over night, BUT I want you to know that no matter how old you are, no matter who you are, no matter where you’re from… you deserve to follow your heart” he wrote.
“Im here & i’m rooting for you” added the “If I Can’t Have You” singer.

Former One Directioner and Mendes close friend Niall Horan showed his support for the 20-year-old hitmaker over the honest post.

Horan commented “Couldn’t relate or agree with something more If I tried… We had the last laugh.”
Amongst all his beloved fans support, other celeb friends showed their love for Mendes including Julia Michaels, former Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui and bestie Camila Cabello who wrote: “😭🙌🏼🙌🏼 this is beautiful”.
