Sarah Hyland really can’t seem to catch a break on social media lately, constantly having fans drag her online over pretty silly things.
Just yesterday fans were criticising her for allegedly fat-shaming a woman on Instagram story (which she cleared up, that she wasn’t)… and now, she’s getting slammed for a post about her dog…
On October 17, 2015, Sarah and her now ex-boyfriend Dominic Sherwood adopted their puppy, Boo.
Despite the pair breaking up in August, they still co-parent the pooch. And a couple of days ago, both commemorated the 2 year anniversary of adopting the baby girl.
“Two years ago today I rescued this little baby girl. She’s my best friend, the love of my life, and sometimes the biggest pain in my ass… only when she eats my underwear. Always remember,” Sarah wrote.
“Two years ago we rescued this gorgeous little creature and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done! #boobear #adoptdontshop 📸 @stephenbusken,” wrote Dominic.
Can you pick up on what the fans were annoyed at? The fact that Sarah used “I” and Dom used “we”, people are saying that Sarah isn’t giving Dom credit for the adoption.
It’s a pretty trivial thing to get annoyed about, and Sarah has now had to come and defend herself against the hate.
“Why would I say ‘we’ when that doesn’t exist anymore?” she began in a Twitter post.
“I wish nothing but the best for him. But the picture is of me and Boo. No one else. I’m really tired of being criticised for every tiny thing I say. If you don’t like the way I live please unfollow and don’t let the door hit you on your way out.”
Let a girl live. Break-ups are never easy for anybody.
