We didn’t think there could be anything sweeter than Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds‘ red carpet appearance at the Met Gala this year… but we might have just found it.

Before they even got to the fashion event of the year, Ryan basically broke the ‘Humans of New York’ Instagram when he shared a touching note dedicated to their beautiful relationship.
Speaking from the heart about the former Gossip Girl star, Ryan wrote:
“She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She’ll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she’s made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn’t want to remember. She made me remember the good times.”
That’s love right there. We’re not crying, you are!
Not that we’re surprised but the pic has already racked up over 1 MILLION likes and is the account’s most-liked post of 2017 (and possibly even their most-liked post EVER but we didn’t have time to keep scrolling lol).
