Noah Centineo is having his first controversy, and unfortunately, we have to agree with the people calling him out.
The To All The Boy’s I’ve Loved Before actor retweeted a statement written by the controversial YouTuber Logan Paul, adding his own message of support.
Naturally, this didn’t sit well with fans.
Uproxx reported that Noah retweeted Logan Paul’s Dec. 31 tweet, which read, “2018. you son of a b*tch. What a year. So many lessons learned, so much GROWTH as a human being, i GUARANTEE this will be the most important year of my life… i could go on and on. Point is, we did it. Chapter closed. Dear 2019… Let’s get this fkn bread.”
The outlet shared screenshots too, which showed that Noah also wrote, “Beautiful man. It’s not just about overcoming adversity, it’s about overcoming yourself in the face of adversity. We can all learn a lot from his growth.”
Noah has since deleted his post, but the internet never forgets!
What ‘adversity’ is Noah talking about then? Well, he’s clearly referring to the backlash Logan faced from his December 2017 trip to Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, where Logan filmed a dead body who had reportedly died by suicide.
While that is arguably his worst offense, Logan has also been criticised for his insensitive portrayals of mental health, racism, and most recently, saying that he would “go gay” for a month.
Given Logan’s behaviour, we’re not surprised that many fans are disappointed with Noah’s support.
“So noah centineo is defending/supporting logan paul now?? yikes.” While another echoed, “Basically he supported logan paul after all the shitty things he did in 2018 saying ‘that’s what it’s all about, growth’, like growth where? He literally said he wanted to go gay for a month as if it’s a choice…” one fan wrote.
Noah has yet to respond to the criticism.
