1. Brooklyn 99
I’m gonna go ahead and say that Brooklyn 99 is the funniest TV show on Netflix at the moment.
The series is about a police precinct in Brooklyn and all the shenanigans they get up to. All the characters are hilarious and you can laugh over the quality quips from Andy Samberg, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz and Joe Lo Tuglio.
Think of all the hilariously stupid things you’ve said in your life, then just think of them as ten times funnier, and that it honestly the script for this show.
It’s there for you in any mood.
Sad? The 99 will be there.
Happy? The 99 will be there.
Hungry? You can’t eat them, but the 99 will still be there.
Trust me when I tell you that you will not be disappointed!
2. Riverdale
Honestly, I’d be super surprised if you haven’t binged this one already.
This Mystery Drama themed show is bound to have you hooked right from the beginning with the murder of Riverdale’s popular high schooler, Jason Blossom, shaking the little town.
Archie wants to pursue his career in music and mend his friendship with Jughead, Betty’s been crushing on Archie all summer but is a little too shy to make a move, and Cheryl Blossom; Jasons’ twin sister; is surely keeping a secret about his murder.
Get ready for a drool-fest with KJ Apa starring as Archie and Cole Sprouse playing his BFF, Jughead. Swoon.
3. Gilmore Girls
A good one to snuggle up with this Winter, Gilmore Girls gives us major 00’s throwback vibes, as it was filmed during 2000.
The show follows the life of 32 year old Lorelai and her 16 year old daughter, Rory.
Falling pregnant at 16, Lorelai ran from her judgemental family to raise her daughter in Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
Rory is sent to prep school, and with her and her mother’s crazy dating lives… you’re bound to get hooked.
We follow both their stories; Rory’s in prep school and Lorelai’s many love interests, and it’s an easy watch with it’s comedy, but serves enough drama to make you keep wanting more.
4. The Good Place
Eleanor has died and found herself in The Good Place; a world where everything is positive and fantastic. Think great weather, no hangovers, unicorns, positivity.
Yep. Just a good place.
Thing is though, there’s been a mistake.
Eleanor was meant to be sent to The Bad Place. A parallel opposite, where basically everything sucks.
This is just quality, light-hearted humour which I’m so sure you will love.
Absolutely addictive and outrageous, and sure to warm those Winter Blues.
5. Vikings
If you’re a little more into history, action, battles, and Scandinavia, Vikings is 100% the show you need to be watching.
Based on true events and the lives of real Vikings and knights, the show follows Ragnar Lothbrok and his exploration out of Norway.
Not only is the show just a visual masterpiece with amazing hair, makeup and costumes, but there are some seriously badass characters in this one.
99% of all the female characters on this show are boss bitches.
Aside from all these assets plus a great storyline, there’s some real eye candy in Vikings.
Ragnar Lothbrok is played by Aussie actor, Travis Fimmel, and believe me when I tell you that every one of the actors Scandinavia has to offer us look like they’ve been perfectly handcrafted.

P.S: The Vikings tend to have an orgy once in a while, so maybs don’t sit down with Dad to watch this one (advice based from legit experience).
6. Queer Eye
Okay, SURELY you have heard of Queer Eye right now.
If for some insane reason you haven’t yet heard of The Fab Five, here’s Fab Five reasons you should be watching Queer Eye.
1. It’s a reality TV show that follows five gay men who spice up and make the lives of adorably clueless straight men profoundly better and help them to get their confidence back to date.
2. Each one of the Fab Five have their own area of expertise:
Jonathan is in charge of grooming and helping their subjects take the best care of their appearance; Bobby runs interior design (he literally renovates houses in the space of one week and is an actual hero); Antoni is the foodie who helps their men go from cooking two-minute noodles to luxe-looking omelettes; Tan is the style expert who we wish would be our own stylist too, and Karamo’s speciality is culture, so he’s there to build up the confidence and give that extra lil bit of wow.
3. Every guy has their own amazing personalities and catchphrases. If you’re struggs to func then Jonathan will 100% be there for you hunni.
4. They are totally squad goals. Give the show 5 minutes and you will deffs see why.
5. They’re literally making such a difference for all these men! One guy even got married!
Honestly, Queer Eye is the blessing we all needed in this day and age.
7. Orange Is The New Black
Okay so OITNB has been SLAYING since way back in 2013.
Orange Is The New Black gives us a sneak into the lives of the inmates in an all women’s prison.
So Piper has been wrongfully arrested for a crime she didn’t commit…but isn’t that everyone’s story in prison?
It’s drama, it’s hilarious, it’s relatable af, even if you’ve never been arrested (myself included).
This show is hella badass, with some AMAZING female characters and a storyline that keeps you guessing.
Pro hint: This one has some pretty intense sex scenes straight off the bat, so maybs don’t watch this one with your parents or on a busy bus where your bus neighbours won’t know you’re watching a 10/10 series.
8. Shameless
Everyone has family issues of some sort and Shameless is honestly the Bible of dysfunctional families.
The show follows the Gallagher family, including drunk Dad, detached Mum, six kids, and how they manage to get along with life.
Fiona, the eldest, is doing her best to support her other five siblings, even if this means stealing and offering the occasional sexual favour.
It’s topsy-turvy and totes ridic, but also relatable af.
When the going gets tough, you know you’ll have your siblings there.
9. Stranger Things
Maybe you’ve just been super busy with your life and haven’t seen Stranger Things, but this one is a MUST.
Set in the 80’s with a mad soundtrack, Stranger Things is set in a small town in Indiana where a young boy named Will Byers suddenly goes missing without a trace.
There is nothing to lead to Will’s disappearance, so the spooky situation gets thicker and stranger when government agencies seem to be hiding experiments, portals are found and a little girl with strange powers makes her way into the town.
There’s a reason Stranger Things and it’s cast members have won so many awards and the fact that it’s kinda creepy will leave you questioning the real and the not real…and why we don’t have Eggos in Australia.
010. Planet Earth by David Attenborough
Do not even think about skipping this one.
Sir David Attenborough is the greatest gift we could ever receive, and his documentaries are the best thing we could have asked for to see the most exotic and amazing wildlife.
Planet Earth is one of Davey’s works on Netflix that you should 100% be watching.
It’s so important to know about the beautiful animals we share this world with and how important it is to protect their habitats.
Not only does David have one of the best voices to listen to, he’s also pretty damn funny and the coolest now 92 year old you will ever hear talk.
I LOVE his documentaries and always end up having a new favourite animal by the end of each episode.
1I bet you a bucket of Nutella you don’t end an episode without learning something new about an animal you never knew existed. Go on.
11. Nailed It!
If you’re like me and love baking but can NEVER make your cakes look like the original Pinterest photo then you’ll love Nailed It! as much as you love attempting to make a rainbow layer cake.
Nailed It! is another reality TV show that gives three ~amateur~ (or just really, really average) bakers the shot at $10k if they can re-create insane Pinterest cakes.
Some of these cakes are nuts. I mean, I watch this and think, “how would they even make that”, which is exactly why I love this one: the bakers are just as bad at baking as I am.
Think shark attack cakes that are half the size of what they’re supposed to be and look like a squished fish, or pirate donuts that look like the Kraken has attacked them.
It’s so hard to sit there and not go “OMG this is actually me” because the cakes these bakers present at the end are 9 times out of 10 a tragic mess and a total fail.
2This show will get you through your Winter Blues and realise you’re actually not that bad of a baker. Confidence boost for the win!
12. Orphan Black
This one’s a little darker, but full of mystery, suspense and unknowing. What can people really do with our DNA?
Sarah Manning is a street hustler who sees the death of a woman who looks just like her. She discovers that they are clones.
As Sarah pieces together more and more information, she realises that there are probably more of her – genetically engineered humans who are given parents, who are none the wiser, to raise them.
She only has limited time to find out who is making the clones, who the rest of her clones are…and who is killing them all.
Buckle in for some insane drama and mystery with Orphan Black. It’s insanely addictive and will have you thinking about the endless possibilities of what you know and don’t know.
313. The End Of The F***ing World
Okay first things first: get ready for a loooooot of swearing.
What happens when two psychopaths date each other?
Or when one secretly wants to kill the other? It’s honestly crazy, and just hysterical.
James is 17; Alyssa is the new girl and is also 17.
They’re both as wild as each other, and when Alyssa convinces James to go on a road trip to find her real father, you see just how weird they can get.
Also probs not one to watch with Grandma around, purely because of just how often a swear is dropped. Don’t let that distract you from how bomb this show is, though.
414. Black Mirror
Creepy af and set in a dystopian, parallel world, Black Mirror has a different storyline every episode that will mess with your mind.
If you were looking for something sweet and funny, you’re deffs better off watching The Good Place or Gilmore Girls, because Black Mirror is all of our “WTFs” and “what ifs” in a TV show.
What do I mean by that?
“What if we had memory chips in our brain so that we could recall everything? What if we had ratings based on how good of a person we were?”
Black Mirror bases each episode on any number of our “what ifs” and they’re super eerie.
I’m talking next level government mind control eerie.
5This show is 100% for anyone who likes twisted movies and high-tech alternate worlds.
Grab your blankets and cuddle buddy for this one, guys.
15. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Finishing our list is Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which gives us the life of Kimmy who was rescued from an extreme doomsday cult.
Doomsdayers can be super out-there, and because Kimmy has only known the cult and an underground bunker for the past 15 years, she has to try and re-adjust to the real world again.
Kimmy decides to move to New York – I mean what could shoot her into the real world any more than NYC, tbh.
She works as a babysitter for a delusional billionaire, and is roomate to to the fabulous Titus, all with an insane sense of positivity all the time.
6This one is for laughs and as a really good pick me up.
Kimmy makes you feel like all your problems can be solved, and Titus will give you the best advice ever.
Be unbreakable!
