The satirical, sassy and political Netflix Original Series, Dear White People, is coming back for season three. Hell yes!
Netflix announced the news with a video of Giancarlo Esposito, the narrator of Dear White People, who also starred as drug lord Gus Fring in Breaking Bad. Giancarlo starts off by reading a newspaper called Mr. Porter, with an image of British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor on the front cover. While this is a pretty bizarre opening, it could possibly be a clue for next season?!
In the promo, Giancarlo reveals that season three of Dear White People is on its way, but he uses pretty formal language, which sounds like a warning so it’s probably another clue for next season.
“Now that I have your attention,” he says, “this message is being delivered to you on behalf of the Order of X. I come with a message of truth. To clarify the false information that’s being disseminated around the world today: Dear White People will be returning to Netflix for Season 3. We’ll meet you there.”
Season two of the series ended with a cliffhanger after Sam and Lionel tracked down a member of the secret Order of X, which turned out to be the show’s narrator, Giancarlo.
There’s no word on when the new series will be available on Netflix, but based on the timing of when the last two seasons were dropped, we think it’ll probably drop around April or May next year.
In the meantime, stay woke friends.
