Drop everything right now because your favorite childhood book series in coming to Netflix as a TV series reboot.
If you’ve been living under a rock, The Baby-Sitters Club series follows five friends who start their own baby-sitting club in their town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut.
The 10 episode series will be set in the present and will focus on relatable issues like divorce, racism and belonging.
WE CAN’T WAIT.
And we aren’t the only ones. Fans of the series went into a meltdown when Netflix announced the news.
Author of the book series, Ann M Martin is as excited as we are. She spoke about the reboot in a press release from Netflix.
“I’m honored to continue to hear from readers — now grown, who have become writers, editors, teachers, librarians, filmmakers — who say that they see a reflection of themselves in the characters of Kristy and her friends. So I’m very excited about the forthcoming series on Netflix, which I hope will inspire a new generation of readers and leaders everywhere.”
A release date is yet to be announced, but we are so ready to binge this series.
