Now, they’re proving that their marriage is even more adorable, with Miley taking Liam’s last name!
Liam revealed the news while appearing on E!’s Live With Kelly and Ryan. The actor revealed that his wife is officially now known as Miley Ray Hemsworth, stating that the name change was entirely her idea.
“She will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great,” Liam continued. “That was honestly one of the best things about it. I didn’t ask her to take my name, but she was like, ‘No, of course I’m taking your name.’”
It’s weird to hear, since we’ve all known her as Miley Cyrus for so long… and Liam agrees! “I just have her as ‘Wife’ in my phone now.” Adorable!
Liam also talked about their low-key wedding. “We know how we feel about each other. We just wanted to do something simple, organic, and with immediate family…it was a really, really special day.”
It really was.
