One of the reasons we love Lili Reinhart so much is that she speaks openly about her struggles with self confidence and body image.
So it’s no surprise that she gets her fair share of haters, too.
Remember when people went HAM on Twitter thinking she was pregnant because she was photographed with a lightly round tummy? WTF was that even about!?
Poor Lil was forced to clear up the situation.
“It’s unfortunate that one unflattering photo of my stomach circulating the internet causes hundreds of people to think that I’m pregnant. Nope. Not pregnant. This is just my body,” she wrote.
Now Lili has defended herself again after being shamed by people calling her struggles with body dysmorphia ‘irrelevant’.
Haters have been saying Lili has no right to struggle with body issues because she’s ‘skinny’. Which we all know is a load of BS.
“Feeling really disheartened by the fact that so many people are saying “you’re skinny so shut up about embracing your body,” she posted on Twitter.
“As if my body dysmorphia is irrelevant because of how I look to some people. I’m either not curvy enough or not skinny enough to feel insecure.”
“Mental illness gets worse when people say that you don’t have a right to feel the way you do. That’s where we are dailing. Do not encourage this behavior. It is destructive. More destructive than you’ll ever realize. You may not understand someone’s insecurity- but respect it,’ she added.
Preach sis!
