The One Direction fandom lost ALL chill when Liam Payne and Cheryl announced the birth of their baby boy over the weekend.

Liam shared the exciting news on Insta with a Polaroid of him holding his little boy to his chest — aka the most ~adorable~ photo of all time — but it sounds like that’s the last pic of the baby we’re gonna see in long time!
“Cheryl and Liam decided they won’t be sharing any pictures as they want to protect the privacy of the baby,” a source spilled to the Daily Mail, shattering our hearts in the process. “They had been offered huge deals from the UK and US but they turned it down as the baby’s privacy is the most important thing to them.”
Wait, so we won’t get to watch him grow cuter and cuter in front of our eyes like we did with Louis Tomlinson‘s son, Freddie?! Of course we ~totally~ understand and respect their decision but that doesn’t make it hurt any less.
Meanwhile in other Chiam baby news, while we don’t know what to call the bundle of joy yet, it sounds like the couple already had baby names picked out from a while ago.
Back in his One Direction days, Liam told Hits Radio: “I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.”
And in a 2012 interview with GQ, Cheryl revealed: “I love kids, I’m obsessed with babies. I know that’s what I was put on the earth to do – to be a mother…Of course I’ve thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy.”
OMG both names are SO damn cute but we’re secretly hoping for Alfie. Can NOT wait for the official announcement!
