Things haven’t been looking very well for Liam Payne and his baby-mama Cheryl lately, with break up rumours swinging at them in the face left, right and centre.
However, RN in the United Kingdom the 2018 BRIT Awards are being held, and it looks like the pair have stepped out hand-in-hand to put on a brave face for the world.
But does that mean everything’s okay with them? Who knows.
What is known is that one interview Cheryl had during the red carpet was incredibly awkward.
Host Jack Whitehall came up to the couple at their table for an on-air interview for viewers at home, talking to Liam about his upcoming performance with Rita Ora of their Fifty Shades song, “For You”.
“You’re performing later, the song from the Fifty Shades film, it’s going to get quite racy, is there a safe word?” Jack asked.
Liam then motioned to Cheryl, saying, “She knows what the safe word is,” to which she added, “Don’t stop!”
Awkward.
Jack then asked the pair how their date night was going so far, in which Liam responded, “Going great so far. We’re having a good time.”
Cheryl looked on silently, however… the pair did do everything to look united before entering the awards show. Not only did they happily pose on the red carpet, but Liam even uploaded a #PowerShot of the couple on his Instagram.
Before the BRIT Awards, Cheryl attended the official opening of The Prince’s Trust Cheryl’s Trust Centre in Newcastle, where she was asked about the break up rumours.
“Do I find it frustrating? No, it doesn’t bother me,” she said according to E! News. “My focus is solely on this, it’s taken seven years to get here and none of that matters. This is the most important part for me.”
While at the event, Liam was posting supportive messages on her social media.
“Very proud of you! How you find the time to do this I’ll never know,” he wrote. “Over many years you’ve put all this together and put your heart into such a great cause! I hope one day I can do the same.”
