Chocolate. Face masks. Lana Condor…these are just a few of the things that are keeping us sane in this time of uncertainty.
Not only have we been re-watching both TATBILB movies like our lives depend on it, but Lana’s hilarious TikTok and YouTube have been giving us life.
And just when we didn’t think anything could top the ‘couple flip’ challenge she did with her BF Anthony, Lana went along and created a Lara-inspired makeup tutorial!
The video, which was posted on her YouTube channel earlier this week, details the 10 steps you need to take for a full Lara Jean makeover.
The first step is one we can well and truly say we’ve well and truly mastered — watch the movies. Tick and tick!
Then, she moves onto the practical — have long hair. Yep, LJ has long, luscious locks in each of the movies. While Lana proudly reveals that it was her real hair in the first movie, she confirms that wigs and hair extensions are allowed (even if she has NFI how to apply them herself!)
Next, it’s makeup time. Here, Lana reveals some of the beauty essentials that really make up the Lara Jean lewk. “Black, blown-out, smudgy eyeliner, a soft Korean lip tint, blush — because she’s constantly flustered — and wispy, flirty eyelashes,” she says.
Lana also talks about how Lara Jean’s beauty look has evolved throughout the movies, starting with barely any makeup in the first one, amping it up in the second and then really coming into her own in the third one (although, she unfortch oesn’t give us any more hints than that)
The rest of the makeover tips range from wearing scrunchies and channelling Lara’s cute style, to reading romance novels (even if Lana is more of a murder mystery gal herself) And, of course, writing a love letter — whether it’s to your bae, your fam or even yourself.
