Ever since the hit Netflix movie To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before came out, people have been OBSESSED with Lana Condor and Noah Centineo.
The pair had undeniable chemistry on the screen, which made fans BEG for them to be in love IRL. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and Lana is in a loving, long-term relationship already with Anthony De La Torre.
But they really hammed up their flirting for every and all promo regarding the film:
Now we’re learning that it was all for show!
“Noah and I definitely encouraged the speculation,” she told Cosmo in their cover story. But although it wasn’t real, she does truly love him. “You can truly love someone in a very platonic way,” she said.
The pair went along with the rumours online and flirted even more because of them. “We believe in the story and the characters and we genuinely love each other.”
While it was all ~fake~, Lana did set ground rules with Noah when they first started working together.
“We had just come back from a hot yoga class and went to his apartment and we ordered pizza,” she said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “And it was kind of like, oh, hot yoga, pizza, what’s happening? It was right before we shot the movie, just trying to get to know each other. And I felt something! I looked at him and I was like, ‘Noah, it’s not going to happen between us.'”
Lana even took inspo from the movie and set rules. “We kind of made a contract and set boundaries.”
While Lana is happy things stayed platonic, she admits there is still a spark between them, which is great since they’re filming a sequel! “We still have that spark. Absolutely,” she said.
Bring on the next movie we say.
